Loving what you do and being known for something specific is a key quality of the person who enjoys a successful career. That, combined with the ability to navigate the changing terrain of the career and new market economy, can be your guiding light towards "doing good, and doing well."
I've met many clients who have a real passion for something related to saving the environment, sustainable resources, and preserving the world for future generations. Especially during a career transition (voluntary or involuntary), being resilient and staying true to your values, will offer many new pathways to success.
The ability to be open, to dance with changes and challenges, combined with some foresight, investigation, resources, and timely information, can you lead to clarity and focus.
I've recently found a web site that I really like that I think you'd like it as
well. It's GreenCareerCentral.com, a site for people who are interested in
the environment and want to find a career that fits with their life. We see signs every day that the green economy is growing and how well-paying green careers
are expected to grow with it.
The site contains a large amount of
information about how to get focused. create a job search plan, and get hired.
It even has a geen job board to look for jobs. I tried out their membership
with their 14-day free trial and was so hooked on the information and support
that I received that I signed up for my own membership!
Check out this
site and make sure to get the free "Six Strategies to Find Your Green
Career" ebook. You can find the link to this on the home page of the site.
